Escape Pain Program
30/06/2020
This course is in the form of 12 sessions over 6 weeks that consists of both physical activity and education that is specifically tailored to people experiencing chronic knee or hip pain.
People are referred via the physio dept at St. Helens hospital and can self-refer into that service via telephone or through their G.P.
Once passed through to the service they will receive a telephone consultation to assess the clients personal goals in relation to functional capacity and pain management and will be booked onto the next available virtual course.
All course materials, including course booklet of education content and exercise resources, will be emailed to the client alongside an invitation to the education seminar to be held at 10:30am on Wednesdays and Fridays via MS Teams and will last for approx. 30 mins.
It is then recommended, once this is complete, they embark on the physical activity stipulated within their literature for half an hour.
The team then report back for a final (non-essential) MS Teams get together at approx. 11 for any feedback.
The next course to start will be from the 22nd of July.
