Our Board

Our Board works to ensure that we are fulfilling our legal and statutory obligations. You can find out more about our Board members below. 

 

Our Chair, Tom Hughes

With a background in Law, Tom is committed to the everyone in our communities being able to get the best services possible from both health and social care services. He is involved with a number of national, regional and local organisations, at Director level, as well as being a volunteer, to assists individuals to get the best from services.

Justin Hill, Vice Chair

Justin has been Chief Executive for YMCA St Helens since 2008 and has thirty years' experience of working within the YMCA federation.

He is the inaugural Independent Chair of the St Helens Inequalities Commission and the current Chair of Halton and St Helens VCA, an organisation he helped establish by merger in 2010.

 

Dilys Quinlan, Healthwatch Director

Dilys has worked as a Senior Manager for 25 years, working within and across primary and secondary care with clinicians and independent contractors, such as GPs and Dentists to transform services for local people.

Dilys has also represented patient and public interests for 15 years via a number of non-executive, voluntary and public appointment roles across health care, social care and the criminal justice system.  She is a Council Member on the North West Clinical Senate Council and also undertakes Patient Safety partnership work with Wirral University.

 

Pam Meredith, Healthwatch Director

With a background in education, Pam’s working life was based around teaching in schools and communities and management positions within the Local Authority. She is also a Trustee for Chain Lane Community Centre in St Helens.  

 

Pam is also a Director of Halton & St. Helens Voluntary & Community Action and ensures that the VCA Board is fully versed in the activities of Healthwatch St Helens. Through her volunteering, she has always championed partnership working and community involvement to bring about positive change.
