Helena’s Domestic Violence Team - Break Free Programme

Break Free Programme Starting Wednesday 13 th September 09:30am to 12:30pm

Helena’s Domestic Violence Team currently provides IDVA support, Domestic Abuse Outreach and Refuge Accommodation Services within the borough of St Helens. They have now extended the service to provide a 6 week programme tailored to anyone who has been or is affected by domestic abuse.

WHERE? Ground Floor Room - St Helens Parish Church Hall, Church Square, St Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1AF (wheel chair access and full facilities). 

WHO CAN ATTEND? Anyone aged over 16 who is suffering or has suffered from the effects of domestic abuse.

WHAT CAN ATTENDEES EXPECT WHEN THEY ATTEND THE GROUP? 

In recognition of this new service offer, and to welcome attendees, they will receive:

  • A £5 Love2Shop voucher on completion of the 6 week programme
  • A safe and secure environment facilitated by skilled and experienced staff 
  • Awareness raising of domestic abuse and practical safety advice 
  • Emotional support 
  • Activities and projects to get involved in and an opportunity to meet new people and make friends 
  • Group led discussions covering a wide range of topics 
  • Guest speakers 
  • Signposting to other support services
